Its the future, a mysterious alien race visited the earth in a place called Junk City, where they proceeded to release experimental effects on people, causing sex to become the greatest and strongest narcotic drug in existence. However, only gay men, known as Fawns, are capable of giving the greatest ecstatic high available. This has caused the city government to outlaw Fawns and gay sex in general. Anyone caught in the act is summarily destroyed. This has led to gay sex to be labeled "Junk".

The story revolves around an amoral junk addict who tries to survive the grim and gritty city that has been the prime cause of his blues. Unable to get what he wants in public, he must seek the help of alleyway Fawns. Finding one named Oliver, he embarks on a torrid co-dependency with the Fawn and this leads them to a run-in with one of the Valdasian aliens who introduces them to a brand new type of drug that causes amnesia and unusual train of thought.

After a trip on the drug, the two awake to find themselves in the now destroyed city and learn they have only hours to escape before an even greater threat becomes a reality.

This short novel is full of gritty dialogue, neo-noir action, and lots of sensual sexual escapades.
